Welcome to the first episode of Robb Corbett Coaching. I am excited to launch this training series and trust you are going to get tremendous value from it.
I love this profession and have committed much of my life to studying it.
However one of the things that has always driven me crazy is why there is such a negative stigma out there surrounding it.
When you study the industry and really look at it with an open mind it becomes very clear what a tremendous business model and opportunity it is for the average person to go on to create tremendous success in their lives.
So why the negative stigma? Why do many people shun our industry?
To me the answer has to be the high failure rate. And if we are honest with ourselves we must admit that there is a high failure rate.
So in this first episode of Robb Corbett Coaching we are going to look at why there is such a high failure rate. In fact we are going to cover the 4 reasons or pitfalls of why people fail.
And more importantly I am going to share with you how you can avoid these pitfalls and make
sure you become one of the tremendous success stories our industry has and does create!

My goal is for you not just to watch “another” training video but to really learn and grow from these episodes. As such with each episode I am going to provide you with a Free resource to help you implement what was covered.
To help you apply what you learned and start getting results in your business.
Today’s resource is “How to Launch or Relaunch Your Business Fast & Successfully”.
This guide will ensure you do not fall for the 5 Pitfalls of why people fail.
It will show you exactly how I was able to earn $4,186.00 in my first two weeks in the business and create a 6 figure income in my first 8 months. And the exact steps you can take to launch or relaunch your business and start creating your own success.
Alright let’s get into today’s training…
Why People Fail in Our Profession Reason #1 – False Expectations
Now in my opinion this is actually the fault of us distributors. We have all been guilty of creating false expectations with our prospects in order to get them to join our team.
I know that first starting out I did it myself.
And I know I have been prospected many times from other distributors telling me I could make all kinds of money in no time at all and with hardly putting any effort into it.
When someone joins and thinks they can earn $10,000 their first month in the business and that everyone they talk to will be interested and then that does not happen for them they get discouraged, frustrated, lose their ambition and are on a fast path to quitting.
This is probably the number 1 reason people fail in this business. They think it will be easy, they think they will earn all kinds of money with limited work and when that obviously does not happen they quit.
It is crucial to the success of your new distributor that you set their expectations correctly. You explain exactly what they have available to them with your opportunity.
Yes they can create an incredible lifestyle and become very wealthy, BUT it is going to take some time, it is going to take learning new skills and it is going to take effort and work.
Why People Fail in Our Profession #2 – They Really Don’t Believe Success is Possible for Them
I always like to start my new team members off in their business by giving them a “Get Your Head Right” chat.
In that chat I set their expectations right as we just talked about, but then I also explain to them exactly what they have in front of them. How powerful and life changing of an opportunity they are now in possession of.
It is very important that you understand and believe that success in this business is possible for you.
People from all walks of life have crushed it in this industry. If they can do it there is no reason you can not.
If someone else has accomplished it you can too.
The key to getting your belief and your team members belief level up where it needs to be is two fold:
- You must work on yourself. Personal development is a must. You need to spend time daily reading and listening to motivational and inspirational material.I can not stress enough how important this is. Every leader I know is a huge advocate of personal development. It really is a must.
- You absolutely must get around like-minded people. Get on every team training call you can. Attend every company event. Get connected with your team’s Facebook group.
The more you see and hear of others having success the more you are going to come to realize that success is possible for you also.
Why People Fail in our Profession #3 – They Don’t Do The Work
Simply put it is people who fail not the industry.
The industry has been proven to work over and over again. If someone does not make it they have to look to themselves as being the reason and not the business model.
Success with your company is exactly like anything else worthwhile in life. You get out of it what you put into it.
Just like any other business. Just like going to the gym. You have to do the work to get the results.
People say they want to earn $10,000.00 per month but then they work like they want to only make $10 per month.
Yes you can create tremendous success working part-time in this industry, in fact it is designed that way. But during those part-time hours 2-3 hours a day you MUST work.
You must follow the training. You must implement what you learn. You must work even when you don’t feel like it.
Just like going to the gym, you must lift those weights to grow those muscles.
People will spend 8 hours a day working their job and get paid $50,000 per year. But then hardly put any time into their business and expect to earn 10 times that amount.
It does NOT work that way.
Starting out you are going to put in more than you are going to get out. But over time if you are consistent and persistent that will switch.
The great thing with this business model is that as you grow your business you will eventually get to a point where you are getting out of it much more than you are putting in.
But you must do the work to get to that point.
Why People Fail in our Profession #4 – They Have Know Idea How to Build the Business
Many times people join a company and they are simply left to figure out how to do the business on their own.
In other cases they might have joined a company or a team who does not provide training on how to successfully build the business or the training they are providing is simply not good.
You are in business for yourself.
You need to take the initiative and do whatever it takes to create success which includes getting the proper training. Learning the correct strategies of building a business.
If you need training seek it out. Figure out where you are lacking and go and find training in that area.
Why People Fail in our Profession – To Wrap it Up
Success in your business is very possible for you and it is a simple and straightforward process.
You need to believe this and then you need to get trained properly and then you simply need to get to work and keep on working until you achieve the success you desire.
